This is one of my favorite photographs of all time, mainly due to the inclusion and juxtaposition of two of my favorite things: llamas/alpacas and vintage automobiles. A dear friend once sent this to me on a postcard when I was struggling with school and included some encouraging words on the back that meant a lot to me. You know who you are, and I still have it.

OMG through a random series of events I buy my mother a llama calendar every year….that’s right…there is a new llama every month. i personally love they May alpaca, but this pic takes the other 48 llama pics in my possession.

I saw the season opener of the Austin symphony with Yo-Yo Ma last night at the Long Center. It was amazing. I never knew a Cello could sound like several instruments at once and the conductor Peter Bell with his bouncy moves certainly made me a supporter!

This was my first foray to the Long Center as this is a relatively new building in Austin. Initially, I thought that it was super ugly with pea soup green tiles and glass so I never gave it a real glance. Then I discovered that the building is 95% recycled from Palmer Auditorium, which it replaced. For this, I really love Austin.
