Being a Dark Knight…..

I’ve seen this film twice…the first time I focused on the special effects and Health (wonderful, oscarworthy? probable) the 2nd time I felt the story, not so much the character development because that was not the focus as much as the ideals were. However, I concentrated  on the idea that when someone doesn’t present ie fake themselves as being perfect that they have the chance to transcend being a stylized ideal. That they have the opportunity to become something better than a facade of heroic and can make the choices to be crucified (this is my first word, but I know that it is not appropriate so please excuse me) for a greater good…I was so touched by the film on this level. Is there anyone so courageous to break the heroic/idealistic archetypes that we are so familiar with. What/who we consider savior-tendencies (isn’t that we are all looking for in some way?) should be more nebulous….we need to see more with greater clarity/accepting. I love the idea that someone imperfect can save me…..
