I so approve of his flagrant lifestyle. We don’t have nearly enough time here to be afraid to live like that.
Rob is reading this book outloud to me - it really makes my soul clap. Steinbeck has such a way with descriptions so he takes the smallest observations about mannerisms or habits and fleshes them into these wonderful sweeping epics about Americans and then humankind. Its pretty impressive.
